A collaboration with my Mom, Ann van Bever. Commissioned by Portland Columbia Symphony.
This piece expresses our feelings during stay-at-home orders, longing to be out in the world but stuck inside. As performers, we miss more than just live performance right now. We've both found ourselves missing the process of collaboration: the liveliness, camaraderie, exploration and moments of 'eureka!' This time has underscored just why live performance is so powerful, and we long for the day when we can be together again face-to-face.
A collaboration between my Mom, Ann van Bever (Oboist) and myself. Commissioned by Portland Columbia Symphony.
